Raising Eric

We all went to Solvang for the long memorial day weekend. Eric had lots of fun looking at all the items in the shops, hiking through the woods and playing in the park. We woke him up early on Friday (4:30am) to try to beat LA traffic, hoping he would fall back to sleep as soon as we were on the freeway. He was wide awake for the full trip, I guess it was the first time we had woken him up and put him in the car so early, it was all so new to him. He did very good all weekend considerign that it was so different from his normal routine. Sleeping at night was difficult being in the same room with him, he wanted to stay up with us to play. All in all it was a restful trip.

Mother's Day 2002
Eric and I got mommy some cushions for the patio furniture. We put Eric's and my hand prints on the back of them. Mommy liked them very much.
Nana came over in the afternoon and we had dinner together; take out from Fish House Vera Cruz.
